Research  (Prof. Dr. Georg Regensburger)

A unifying theme in my research is the combination of algebraic and geometric methods and symbolic computation to treat problems coming from analysis and applications. I am interested in aspects ranging from purely algebraic over constructive and algorithmic considerations to the development of software for computer algebra systems.

Recent research interests

  • Applied algebra, symbolic computation, and computer algebra systems
  • Integro-differential algebras, equations, and boundary problems
  • Operator algebras and algebraic systems theory
  • Positive solutions of generalized polynomial equations
  • Reaction networks and applications in systems biology
  • Polyhedral geometry and optimization with applications in metabolic networks
