New publication - Understanding the diversity of solidarity-based agriculture in Germany

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a new model within the alternative food networks (AFN). It creates close relationships between food producers and consumers and thus contributes to food sovereignty and the transformation of the agricultural and food system. Despite rapid growth from around 10 to over 500 CSAs in just over a decade, the model still remains a niche in Germany. Our colleague Matthias Middendorf, together with his co-author Marius Rommel, argues that further and faster dissemination requires a better understanding of its diversity. However, a comprehensive conceptualization of CSA types and differentiated consideration in research and practice is lacking. To the article
