Olga Olashyn

Olga Olashyn has been working as a staff member at the University of Kassel in the Department of Organic Food Quality and Food Culture since July 2016. Ms. Olashyn successfully completed her bachelor's degree with a major in "International Relations" in July 2011, and master's degree with a major in "International Economic Relations" at the National University of Uzhgorod (Ukraine) in June 2012. For further education in the field of "Foreign Languages" Ms. Olashyn spent one semester in Austria at the University of Vienna in 2011 during her Bachelor studies. At the end of 2012, she came to Germany as a scholarship holder of the Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung e.V. and started her research in areas of "ecology, sustainability, nutrition". In July 2016, Ms. Olashyn was selected for the United Nations Graduate Program (Geneva) 2016 with topic: "Humanitarian assistance and development" and within this program she successfully developed a project in the field of "Food security" together with other staff and students of the department. As of June 2016, Olga Olashyn is doing her PhD in the field of "Food culture in the context of sustainability and globalization".
