Olga Olashyn

Olga Olashyn joined the Department of Organic Food Quality and Food Culture at the University of Kassel in July 2016. Ms. Olashyn successfully completed her Bachelor's degree with a focus on "International Relations" in July 2011 and her Master's degree with a focus on "International Economic Relations" at the National University of Uzhhorod (Ukraine) in June 2012. Ms. Olashyn spent a semester in Austria at the University of Vienna in 2011 during her bachelor's degree to further her education in the field of foreign languages. At the end of 2012, she came to Germany as a scholarship holder of the Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung e.V and began her research in the fields of "Ecology, Sustainability, Nutrition". In July 2016, Ms. Olashyn was selected for the United Nations Graduate Program (Geneva) 2016 with the topic: "Humanitarian assistance and development" and as part of this program she successfully developed a project in the field of "Food Security" together with other staff and students of the department. As of June 2016, Olga Olashyn is doing her doctorate in the field of "Food culture in the context of sustainability and globalization".
