Agroecology as global policy discourse, what does it propose and what does it mean?

Background: Agroecology has been extremely successful recently as a policy discourse on the international level. This concerns the FAO, but recently also the EU and other international organization and donors.

Aim: What explains the success of the agroecology discourse international and what can we expect to come from it concretely, in the EU, in Germany but also in the global South?
