Discourse on water scarcity in Germany
Background: While Germany has always been considered a water-rich country, climate change is also affecting the availability of water resources in Germany. The perception and discourse on water scarcity in Germany has therefore changed in recent years.
Aim: This thesis undertakes a discourse analysis on water scarcity and drought in Germany. What are the different actors active in the discourse, and what are their interests? What measures and solutions do actors propose to deal with increasing water scarcity in Germany, and how can these measures be evaluated in terms of questions of sustainability?
