About the PhD: The project aims to investigate the connection between the presence of refugees and the social sustainability of the city of Witzenhausen in Werra-Meißner-Kreis. Refugees’ level of integration, the political potency of the city, social capacity and the general orientation to choose between two concepts of “integration” or “assimilation” are the components of the study.
