Sound governance arrangements are vital to ensure adequate provisioning and equitable sharing in the benefits from the commons. Ruth Meinzen-Dick will share lessons from India that illustrate their importance, and what can be done to strengthen their governance for a sustainable and equitable future.

Ruth Meinzen-Dick is a Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and winner of the Elinor Ostrom Award on Collective Governance of the Commons 2019 Senior Scholar award.
