Fine mobility project presents new vehicle classification within the framework of HCII 2023

At this year's HCI International 2023 Conference , Sophie Kahnt and Jori Milbradt presented the classification of all means of transport (vehicles and mobility aids) in road traffic, which was developed within the project "Mobility with a Human Scale - Fine Mobility for Environmental and Climate Protection, Urban and Quality of Life". The need for a classification according to the characteristic of size or the space taken up by a means of mobility (in short: "space taking") was justified by the lack of consideration in existing vehicle segmentations as well as the relevance of this characteristic for urban space compatibility.
