VPVS represented with two presentations at the European Transport Conference

The Department of Transport Planning and Systems was once again represented at this year's European Transport Conference (ETC) with a total of two presentations. In her presentation "Considering female needs in local public transport as an important component of sustainable mobility", Natalie Schneider reported on gender-specific differences in the use and perception of public transport, while Johanna Koch's presentation "How can we reduce the infection risk in school transportation during a global pandemic?" dealt with the effects of a pandemic-related staggering of school hours in the city of Herne.

There was also the opportunity to find out about the latest findings from international science and practice and to network with other participants at over 250 other presentations.

The European Transport Conference is organized every year by the Association for European Transport. This year's conference took place at the University of Antwerp and was attended by around 550 participants from over 30 different countries.
