The aim of the approved cooperation project "DYSCrete - Dye Sensitized & Energy Generating Concrete" is a novel photoreactive cementitious material and energy generating systems in the field of facades as well as wall and floor systems. The project, funded by the BBSR as part of the "Initiative Zukunft Bau", is being carried out jointly by the Departments of Construction Materials and Construction Chemistry and the Department of Fine Arts (Prof. Klussmann). The focus of development is a novel process for the photoreactive functionalization of building material surfaces, which is based on the technical principles of the dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC or DYSC -> DYSCrete).
