The transitional period of the Amtliche Materialprüfanstalt für das Bauwesen (AMPA) at the University of Kassel has ended. Dr.-Ing. Viola Koch will take over the technical management of AMPA permanently as of 01.08.2022. Ms. Justyna Janowski will also return to AMPA part-time from her parental leave in September 2022 and will then also take over tasks in the management team again.

After studying civil engineering at the University of Kassel, Dr.-Ing. Koch obtained her doctorate in the field of construction materials and construction chemistry and subsequently worked for several years in responsible positions in the private sector at various construction companies. From 2020 onwards, Dr.-Ing. Koch worked on a research project on the development and application of special concretes at the Department of Materials in Civil Engineering and Construction Chemistry and also collaborated in a national joint project on issues relating to the preservation of historical monuments in concrete repair, which she would like to further develop in her future AMPA activities.
