The Department of Construction Materials and Construction Chemistry organized a student excursion with the aim of gaining insights into the latest developments in the concrete industry. The group, consisting of civil and environmental engineers as well as nanostructure scientists, visited the Max Bögl construction company at its site in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. The company is represented worldwide with the implementation of major projects, including several stadiums, skyscrapers, bridges and test tracks for magnetic levitation trains. From October 12 to 13, students from the University of Kassel visited several production and training facilities, precast plants and mixing plants as well as a test track for a maglev train. This was accompanied by technical presentations by the company's employees and the staff of the University of Kassel.
