Book "Social participation and mobility" published

In the book "Social Participation and Mobility", the connection between social participation and mobility is presented on the basis of theoretical principles and experiences from a real-world laboratory in the Hanover region and examined with the help of quantitative and qualitative empirical research. In addition, newly developed planning tools, such as an index for quantifying mobility options and a transport demand model extended by a social component, are presented. Mobility-related measures to increase social participation will be developed on the basis of empirical data, tested in a real-world laboratory and evaluated using an evaluation system designed for this purpose. Carsten Sommer is the lead editor of the book. Franziska Henkel, Alena Fischer and Carsten Sommer are the authors of several articles in the book.

The book was published by Springer-Verlag in the series "Studien zur Mobilitäts- und Verkehrsforschung".
