Unisensor Sensorsysteme GmbH
The company UNISENSOR is the developer of the WATERTRACETM measurement system, which is verified and optimized within DecS. The basis of the measurement technology is a high-resolution optical UV spectrometer, which was originally developed for online gas analysis in beverage technology.
ifak - Institute for Automation and Communication e. V.
The Institute for Automation and Communication e. V. has been developing SIMBA#water, a versatile software for modeling and dynamic simulation in wastewater technology, for more than 20 years. SIMBA#water is the market leader in Germany and the Netherlands and is also widely used internationally. Within the framework of DecS, SIMBA#water serves as a starting point for digital networking.
Emschergenossenschaft / Lippeverband
The Lippeverband, together with the Emschergenossenschaft as Germany's largest wastewater association, has been an important driver for the digitalization of the national water management for several years. With the wastewater treatment plants Bad Sassendorf (13,000 P.E., ozonation and fining pond) and Dülmen (55,000 P.E., powder activated carbon adsorption and flocculation filtration), two wastewater treatment plants of the Lippeverband already have advanced process stages for the targeted elimination of trace substances.
Weber Engineers Ltd.
Weber-Ingenieure GmbH has been active since 1959 as an engineering service provider with a focus on environmental technology and infrastructure. In recent years, the company has also been increasingly active in the field of trace substance elimination and therefore has extensive know-how and references in the real implementation of plants for advanced trace substance elimination.

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding the joint project "DecS - Decoding Trace Substances" for the funding measure "Digital GreenTech - Environmental Technology Meets Digitalization" within the action plan "Naturally.Digital.Sustainable". The action plan is in the context of the BMBF's "Research for Sustainability (FONA)" strategy. The term is two years and seven month (04/2021 - 10/2023).
