Graduation ceremonies

Dear graduates

Congratulations on the successful completion of your studies.

Following a long-standing tradition, graduates were presented with their degree certificates in an academic ceremony in the summer and winter semesters in our department's Gießhaus. This ceremony was always a semester highlight for the graduates, as well as for the professors and supervisors.

Due to measures taken to slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to cancel the graduation ceremony scheduled for May 5, 2020. Unfortunately, celebrations on the scale of graduation ceremonies are still not possible at the University of Kassel in the medium to long term, so we will also have to cancel the graduation ceremony scheduled for

November 10, 2020 and unfortunately have to cancel it already now. We have intensively discussed alternatives, such as an online event, in all groups and unanimously assessed them as not appropriate.

Therefore, the graduation ceremony will be postponed indefinitely for the time being. As soon as a new date is in sight, we will inform you via the homepage.
