The first work package examines the role of peer-influences and reflective gamification mechanisms for crowdfunding green projects in Germany. For this purpose, DeCarbFriends cooperates with the crowdfunding platform of the German Environmental Foundation, EcoCrowd.

In the third work package, the influence of a competitive game on the recruiting and the recruiting patterns of friends for CO₂ offsetting is investigated.  To this end, DeCarbFriends works together with the Klima-Kollekte, a CO₂ compensation fund of Christian churches in Germany.
