SURAP
Sustainable Resource Application
The first version of SURAP has been integrated into Building Information Modelling (BIM) as a plugin in Revit modeling software. By using SURAP, the building designers can quantify and visualize the material, water, energy and climate footprints of the different building design options.
Since 1st February 2021, the founding team of SURAP has received a scholarship from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) within theEXIST Business Start-up Grant, which supports innovative, knowledge-based and future-oriented projects.
The founder of SURAP is Dr. Husam Sameer, who obtained his doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Bringezu at the University of Kassel. In his doctoral thesis, he developed the scientific basis for SURAP. The start-up project is supported by Dilan Glanz and Gerrit Christoph Herder.
Dilan graduated with a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering. The topic of her thesis was the application of software solutions for LCA of buildings. Gerrit graduated with a Master's degree in Sustainable Management. The SURAP team is supervised by UNIKAT, the start-up consultancy of the University of Kassel.
