Ingmar Zalewski joined INCHER in November 2023 and works with Prof. Dr. Bettina Langfeldt and Dr. Christian Schnejiderberg in the research project "Governmental and Non-Governmental Providers in Health and Care Professions" (AGePf).
After his studies in psychology, sociology and educational sciences at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and the University of Potsdam, Ingmar Zalewski worked as a researcher on the evaluation of the situation of unaccompanied minor refugees (University of Applied Sciences Potsdam) and in the context of quality dialogs in the Hamburg youth welfare offices (Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin). Ingmar Zalewski joined the University of Kassel as a lecturer in qualitative methods in 2019, where he was awarded his doctorate summa cum laude in February 2024 with an ethnographic thesis in the field of migration sociology under Prof. Dr. Ulrike Tikvah Kissmann. He continues to work as a lecturer in the Department of Social Science Methodology of Qualitative-Reconstructive Research, teaching qualitative methods. In August 2024, he was appointed to the board of the Research Network 20 Qualitative Methods of the European Sociological Association.
Recently, Ingmar Zalewski was a visiting scholar at the Department of Philosophy "Piero Martinetti" with Prof. Dr. Giampietro Gobo at the University of Milan (Italy).
