Quantum control of chiral observables
Chiral observables allow for differentiating left-handed from right-handed chiral molecules despite random orientation of the molecules in space. In view of optimally multiplexing chiral observables, we seek to understand how the chiral nuclear scaffold is imprinted on experimental observables measured in photoionization experiments and how rotational, respectively vibrational, dynamics and the coupling of multiple degrees of freedom affect chiral observables and their controllability. Ab initio based quantum dynamics methods and quantum control theory shall be employed to this end.
