Accordion

What is an accordion?

With the accordion, texts can be placed on a page to save space. The accordion elements are clearly arranged by their headings. The content can be expanded and collapsed, linked or provided with a subheading.

Tip: Particularly suitable for FAQs.

Creating an accordion

  1. I select the page in the backend on which I want to insert an accordion. Like all other content elements, the accordion can also be created in the grid combinations.
  2. In the page view, I go to Create new content element (+Content icon) and then select Accordion (to be found under the "Container" tab). The element appears immediately in the backend.
  3. I then use the pencil icon to edit the accordion and assign a heading, which I can also hide. I can insert a link or assign a chordion subtitle (text only visible within a chordion). The color of the chordion can also be defined.
  4. I save the accordion.
  5. Elements can then be created within the accordion via "+Content".
  • Text & media
I can add text in the text area and format it using the text editor, insert links, create tables or select different object styles. Please note: If the heading is hidden, the accordion cannot be closed.
  • Heading
  • File links
I can offer file downloads here. If the heading is hidden, the download name is shown in the overview.
  • Separator

Tip: Content elements of the accordion can be moved in the page view using drag and drop. The content elements of an accordion are listed in the list view. In any case, it always makes sense to name the data records plausibly.

Never change the type selection afterwards. Never convert an existing grid to an accordion.
