Integrate Panopto video

Integration as a media link (media URL)

The Panopto video can be inserted into the file list as a media link (media URL).

1. the permalink of the video in Panopto is required for this.
2. this is then inserted in the Typo3 backend as a media link in the Typo3 file list.
3. the video is then available in Typo3, as you know it from images and PDF's in the "green" file list.

The video can now be used with the standard element "Text & Media"
in the "Media" tab via the "Add media file" button.

Preparation - Adding a new media file

There are 2 ways to add a "New media file" to the file list.

In the workflow, if a folder already exists in the file list:

  1. Text & media - create
  2. In the "Media" tab - "Add media file"
  3. At the bottom of the "File selection" window
  4. Copy the permalink of the video from Panopto into the field: "Add new media file"
    and click "Add media".
  5. The Typo3 link is given the name of the video and a preview image is also created.
  6. Finally, select the created file link!
  1. Left in the menu on file list (green symbol)
  2. Select target folder for the file link
  3. Click on the + at the top for a new element
  4. Copy the permalink of the video from Panopto into the field: "Add new media file" and click "Add media".
    The Typo3 link is given the name of the video and a preview image is also created.
