Hardware of the cluster
Hardware
The operating system of the linux cluster is the current version of CentOS 7. The IBM General Parallel Filesystem GPFS is used as a globally available file system. Access to GPFS-files offers three fileservers, which are connected with each 1 Gbit/s to the cluster. On all nodes SMT features like "hyper-threading" are disabled.
The Hardware of the cluster is divide into public and private partitions. Nodes of a private partition can be used from everonyone who has an UniAccount. The nodes of the private partitions are moderated from the departments they belong to.
