The history of mechanical engineering in Kassel

Fifty years ago - in 1971 - the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was established together with the University of Kassel. Today, both institutions look back on their fifty-year history and celebrate their founding anniversary together.

Fifty years is a long time - and yet the education of mechanical engineers began much earlier. In four brief spotlights we would like to approach the exciting and eventful history of mechanical engineering in Kassel and also venture a look into the future of our faculty.
