Prof. Benoit Merle Elected as Chair of the MecaNano European Network for the Third Funding Phase

On July 22, 2024, Prof. Benoit Merle was elected as Chair of the MecaNano European Network for the third funding phase, starting in November 2024. As the initiator and main applicant of this COST network, Prof. Merle has already made significant contributions to the MecaNano initiative. He also served as Chair during the first funding phase, where he provided critical guidance and successfully established the network.

The MecaNano European Network is dedicated to promoting and coordinating research activities in the field of nanomechanics. The initiative is funded by Horizon Europe (EU) through the European Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) program. With Prof. Merle’s continued leadership as Chair, the network will further advance innovative approaches and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.
