Course: Light Alloys

Lecturer

  • Dr. Seyedvahid Sajjadifar

Learning objectives

  • Knowledge: Students are familiar with light metals, manufacturing processes of light metals, physical properties of light metals, mechanical properties of light metals, strengthening mechanisms of light metals, and lightweight construction.
  • Skills: Students will be able to evaluate the mechanical properties, manufacturing process and microstructure condition of various light metal alloys.
  • Competencies: Students will be able to select an appropriate light alloy and manufacturing process for a specific application. They are able to develop solutions to problems for the manufacture of a lightweight component.
