Production Technology and Logistics (IPL)

The Institute of Production Technology and Logistics was founded in 1993 as one of five institutes of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Today, the Institute is a Centre of Excellence for manufacturing processes, machines and machine systems, organization, logistics and the factory as a whole. In addition to research and teaching it provides individual consulting services to the industry. The different expertise areas have in common the consideration of technique and organization in a factory concerning flexible and market-oriented production.
