Mr. Bowen Zou received his bachelor's degree from Jilin University in China and his master's degree from RWTH Aachen University in Germany, showing a solid academic foundation in materials science and engineering. After a two-year experience in the automotive industry, he has decided to pursue his research career in materials engineering.

Mr. Zou contributes to the DFG project "Mechanism-based microstructure design of low-carbon Giga-NANOBAIN steels" (SO 1431/7-1). He focuses on the development of high-performance, low-carbon, carbide-free nanostructured bainitic steels through multiscale characterization methods. This experimental work is carried out in close collaboration with distinguished colleagues from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), who are responsible for the phase field modeling of bainite transformation.
