Dr. Xiao Shen received his bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) in China and his master's degree from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. After graduation, Xiao devoted four years as a scientific researcher at the Steel Institute of RWTH Aachen University, where he played a central role in various research projects.
Xiao's research interests cover a wide range of topics within materials science and engineering, including nano-characterization, investigation of hydrogen embrittlement in steels and development of high-performance, lightweight steels for the automotive industry.
