Institute of Materials Engineering exhibiting at the "formnext" trade fair
From November 19 to 22, the 10th "formnext" took place at the Frankfurt Exhibition Center - the largest leading international trade fair for additive manufacturing technologies with over 800 exhibitors. The trade fair offered an impressive variety of innovations in the field of industrial 3D printing technologies. From manufacturers of polymer filaments and metal powders to complete systems for industrial 3D printing, there were numerous exciting new products to discover.
The Department of Metallic Materials at the University of Kassel was also represented as an exhibitor and presented itself at the joint stand of the states of Hesse and Bremen. Here, scientific staff provided fascinating insights into the Institute's current research, focusing on additive manufacturing, innovative material development and holistic material characterization. A particular eye-catcher was the 1:7 model of the newly commissioned large-scale machine, which stimulated numerous interesting discussions with visitors from all over the world.
Many thanks to the BiTWerk research cluster for making the trade fair possible. The exhibitors would also like to thank Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH and SCM Messe Event Marketing GmbH for the excellent organization.
