Terms of Use for E-Journals

If you use the full-text or search links in our KARLA catalog portal, the Electronic Journals Library (EZB) or the Database Information System (DBIS), you will have access to licensed e-journals and databases with an IP address of the university network. If you are not accessing within this network, you will be prompted to enter your library card number with the corresponding password on the login page of the HAN server. For regional users, remote access is usually not possible for e-journals and databases due to licensing reasons.

Please observe the terms of use of the publishers and providers, as access to the full texts and data requires their compliance. In general:

• Access to the full texts is only permitted to members of the University of Kassel.
• The full texts of the articles may only be printed or stored for personal use and research purposes.
• Systematic downloading of articles or search results, especially by robots, is prohibited.
• Articles may not be passed on to third parties either electronically or in printed form.

Beck-online

The legal portal Beck-Online is available to employees and students of the University of Kassel from outside the university network. Beck-Online can be accessed via the full text link in our KARLA or the search link in the Database Information System (DBIS). For login use the library card number or the user name of the UniAccount (uk number). Beck additionally expects  a personal login on its platform. For this purpose, please use your previous login or register via the button "Register for free" with an e-mail address of the domains @uni-kassel.de or @student.uni-kassel.de. Unfortunately, regional users do not have access to Beck-Online.
