RobustPlan

In order to ensure the security of supply of the German power grid and a future-oriented, economic grid expansion, the research project RobustPlan investigated how robust grid expansion measures can be determined. For assessing the robustness of different grid expansion measures, a sequence procedure containing several research areas was elaborated to calculate scenarios and several projected years with a high level of automation. This sequence procedure included an electricity market simulation, the coupling of market and grid model, optimizations of grid operation (HVDC power flows, ideal PST tap shifting, Redispatch), and optimizations of the grid planning module.
