Training Courses/Intensive Courses (DSH Examination Training)
Duration: During the semester break (February/March and August/September), a three-week intensive course (60 teaching hours) is offered. Classes are usually held from Monday to Friday, sometimes also on a Saturday.
Content: This course prepares the participants for the DSH examination, it familiarises them in detail with the format of this examination. The focus is placed on the skills of listening comprehension, reading comprehension, academic language structures/grammar, task-oriented text production and oral expression. The types of tasks trained are the same as in the DSH examination.
General Information: Participants must have a good intermediate level of German (level C1), i.e. they must be proficient enough in the German language to be able to take the DSH without more thorough preparation (see preparatory courses).
The registration for the intensive course includes the registration for the DSH examination, which takes place shortly after the course ends. The course and examination fee is expected to be 320, - € (examination fee included). Interested students must apply for participation. For the application, you need a current admission for the following semester at the University of Kassel with the reference "DSH examination".
