Seatfinder

The Seatfinder shows the current occupancy of the learning and workstations in the LEO Lernort and the university library based on the WLAN utilization. For this purpose, the devices (smartphones, laptops, tablets) logged on to the WLAN access points are measured every five minutes and the currently occupied seats are estimated using a learning algorithm.

Data privacy

The data is not recorded for individual devices, but only for the total number of devices at the respective location. It is therefore not possible to infer the location of a device or the user from the data.
