Moodle and Mahara

We advise and support you in all technical and didactic questions of e-learning. We are constantly evaluating new tools and platforms with regard to their suitability for teaching. In doing so, we cooperate with individual teachers to test their practical suitability in concrete teaching/learning scenarios. Do you have an innovative idea and/or a tool that you would like to test? We are at your disposal as a cooperation partner.

Moodle is the learning platform of the University of Kassel and is used in all departments and disciplines in different variations.

Among others, it offers the possibility to provide simple scripts, graphics or links, to support the communication with the participants and to design complex learning scenarios that, for example, activate or integrate students.

Mahara is the e-portfolio platform of the University of Kassel, web-based collective portfolios can be created and published with. In contrast to a paper-based portfolio, videos, blogs and audio contributions can also be integrated. These "views" summarized in this way can be presented to other people, groups or the entire public in the form of a "web page".

All members of the University of Kassel can explore the functionalities of the platform independently with their university account.
