Admission requirement

BA or Lehramt
All applicants wishing to enrol in one of the English, English Studies or American Studies degree programs at the University of Kassel must provide proof of the required language proficiency as a prerequisite for enrolment.

Master EAS or EACBS for
a) those who do not fulfill the requirements with their BA (Those who did not complete their BA at a German university must always submit a language test. Those who have completed their BA at a German university, but not in the subject English / English / American Studies, must submit a language test. Anyone who has completed their BA in English / English Studies / American Studies at a German university but has an average grade of less than 3.0 in language practice must submit a language test.)
b) or whose BA was completed more than two years ago

One way of providing proof of the required language competence is the IELTS test.
