Dr. Jennifer Schluer won the poster prize (second place) during the 27th Congress of the German Society for Foreign Language Research (DGFF) on September 30, 2017 in Jena. With her poster on "Lexical and conceptual challenges in reading in English as a foreign language" she convinced the committee by the relevance of the research question, the quality of the research design, the coherence and structure of the poster, and the clarity of the presentation. The successful attention control through the central eye-catcher of the poster, which encourages the viewer to reflect, was particularly emphasized.
