Dancers from the IfSS performed?

From 9.11.12 to 11.11.12, the Gesellschaft für Tanzforschung (Society for Dance Research) held its annual conference on the subject of 'Dance Play Creativity' at the Sport Institute in Bochum. Prof. Dr. Johannes Bilstein opened the conference with his keynote lecture 'How does the new come into the world. On the conceptual and imaginative history of creativity? opened the exciting conference, during which all kinds of stimulating specialist discussions were held. In addition to various formats such as workshops, lecture performances and expert panels, a wide variety of choreographies from different institutions (Folkwangschule from Essen, sports institutes from Paderborn and Bochum, Choreografische Werkstatt from Bochum, Zentrum für Zeitgenössischen Tanz from Cologne) could be admired and enjoyed on Friday evening. The Institute of Sport and Sport Science also presented an examination piece from the dance/gymnastics advanced course. Stefanie Nickel, Cathleen Kassel and Jana Iskandar showed their choreography 'Loslassen' from SS 12. The performance of the three dancers from Kassel was very successful and was rewarded with thunderous applause. The "expert audience" was enthusiastic about the choreographic performance, expressiveness and dance technique. After the performances, there was a discussion with the audience about what they had seen and experienced, so that the audience could ask questions about the choreographic processes of the individual pieces.
