HITZEINSEL UNI-CAMPUS - FREIRAUM IM KLIMAWANDEL | With Axel Klapka, Britta Jänicke, Ariane Röntz and Ariane Röntz

In 2009, a design for the development of the north campus of the University of Kassel was selected in a competition and subsequently implemented. This envisaged large-scale sealing of the open space, which was also implemented over the years. However, this has increasingly met with criticism from users, who have since begun to redesign their surroundings by means of temporary interventions. How have the guiding principles of Open Space Planning changed with climate change? And what is the future for this open space?

With Axel Klapka (k1 Landschaftsarchitekten, Berlin), Britta Jänicke, Ariane Röntz (Faculty 06 ASL), Mika Blanck (student)

Moderated by Uwe Altrock
