On June 29 and 30, the kick-off event of the joint project 'WÖRLD -  Wirtschaftspädagogik und Ökonomische Bildung: Lehrkräftebildung und Unterricht Digital' (duration 06/23 - 12/25; FKZ:01JA23S02A) took place in the premises of the Institute for Vocational Education and Training. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Dr. Jens Klusmeyer (Department of Business Education with a focus on vocational teaching and learning), who welcomed a total of 30 participants from the 14 subprojects of the consortium.

However, the event did not only serve to get to know the cooperation partners, but also to start the content-related work of WÖRLD. For the first day of the conference, Prof. Dr. Frank Lipowsky (Department of Educational Sciences with a focus on empirical school and classroom research) was invited as a guest speaker. In his lecture "Characteristics of effective in-service training for teachers", he provided important impulses for the work in WÖRLD, but also for the Kompetenzverbund lernen:digital, and stimulated discussion. On the second day, the participants focused on the design of content-related fields of work and key topics of WÖRLD, which are to frame the first months of the project. The scientific staff of the subprojects played a special role. In groups, they were able to share their experiences in the field of digitization and teacher education and formulate their expectations of the project management.
