Then the doctoral position at the Department of Information Systems could be just right for you!

In our scientific center, we focus on the development and research of methods and tools for the management and use of big data and artificial intelligence. The aim is to research digital service innovations based on generative AI in order to understand how people or organizations can use generative AI sustainably to create value.

How do we work?

You will take on early responsibility in an interdisciplinary team where you will research and implement new approaches to data-driven value creation. You will work on the design of generative AI systems such as AI assistance systems or co-pilots, as well as on the implementation of empirical studies. This is done both independently and in collaboration within an interdisciplinary and dynamic research group. Together, we research and understand the influences of new technologies on their users in order to optimize their impact.

What convinces us:

• A successfully completed degree in a relevant subject area (e.g. business informatics, computer science, engineering or business administration, WIWI, economics or business psychology)
• Interest in and willingness to familiarize yourself with new technologies, in particular generative AI and machine learning
• Knowledge of empirical research methods (e.g. online, laboratory and field experiments or econometrics) and quantitative methods including relevant software (e.g. Python, R).
• Strong social and communication skills, initiative and sense of responsibility
• Support in teaching at the Department of Information Systems and assumption of departmental tasks
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English
