Dr. Johannes Diederich is Lecturer at the Institute of Economics at the University of Kassel. After studying in Heidelberg and Oregon, he received his diploma in economics from Heidelberg University in 2008. Johannes then worked as a researcher at the Research Center for Environmental Economics (RCEE) at Heidelberg University in two DFG funded research projects on the willingness to pay for voluntary climate action and as tutor for the Department of Economics at Heidelberg University. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Heidelberg University in 2013. Afterwards, he was a postdoc at the RCEE (in part time). His research interest is in the analysis of social dilemmas between individual self interest and the common good, in particular with regard to voluntary climate action and donations.
