Philipp Händel is a Research Fellow and doctoral candidate at the Chair of Environmental and Behavioral Economics. Since June 2021, he also serves as program manager for the master’s program in Sustainability Economics and Management. He previously completed his master degree Sustainability Economics and Management at the University of Kassel. During his master studies he worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Environmental and Behavioral Economics and the Chair of Microeconomics and Empirical Energy Economics. Philipp Händel is primarily involved in the research project MultiTip, which uses the example of small-scale fisheries on Lake Victoria in Africa to investigate how irreversible ecological tipping points affect cooperative behavior.
