Contact/Directions

You can reach Kassel by train at the station "Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe" (www.bahn.de). Here you take take the tram line 3 or 7 - direction "Mattenberg". Travel 9 stops to the station "Korbacher Straße - Universität" (timetable information). Cross the street and walk straight ahead for approx. 250m into "Heinrich-Plett-Straße".

Bus/Tram-stations in the immediate vicinity of the university:

•     "Korbacher Straße/Universität": tram lines 3 and 7.
•     "Heinrich-Plett-Straße": tram lines 2, 3, 6 and 7 as well as bus lines 17 and 21.

From the north

Take the A7 motorway to Kassel-Mitte (exit 79). Change to the A49 motorway in the direction of "Marburg". Leave the motorway at the exit Kassel-Niederzwehren (exit 6) and follow the "Frankfurter Straße" into the city. 500 m after the Jet petrol station turn left into the "Altenbaunaer Straße". Cross the tram line twice. Then turn half right into the "Oberzwehrener Straße". At the next traffic lights turn left into "Korbacher Straße" and after ca. 200m turn left again into "Heinrich-Plett-Straße". After ca. 150m, you will see the university parking deck on the left-hand side.

From the south

Take the A7 motorway until you reach Kassel-Süd exit ( exit 80). Change there to the A44 motorway in the direction of Dortmund. At "Kreuz-Kassel-West" (exit 69), take the A49 towards Kassel city centre. Leave the motorway at "Kassel-Niederzwehren" (exit 6) and follow the "Frankfurter Straße" into the city. After 500 metres turn left into the "Altenbaunaer Straße". Cross the tram lines twice. Afterwards, turn half right into the "Oberzwehrener Straße". At the next traffic lights turn left into the "Korbacher Straße" and after ca. 150 turn left again into the "Heinrich-Plett-Straße". After ca. 150m, you will see the university parking deck on the left-hand side.

From the west

Take the A44 motorway until you reach "Kassel Südkreuz" (exit 69). Take the A49 in the direction of the city centre of Kassel. Leave the motorway at exit 6 "Kassel-Niederzwehren" and follow the "Frankfurter Straße" into the city. After 500 m turn left into the "Altenbaunaer Straße". Cross the tram lines twice. Then turn half right into the "Oberzwehrener Straße". At the next traffic lights turn left into the "Korbacher Straße" and after ca. 200 m turn left again into the "Heinrich-Plett-Straße". After ca. 150 m, you will see the university parking deck on the left-hand side.

The airports are: Kassel-Calden, Frankfurt, Hanover and Paderborn. From Kassel-Calden you can take a taxi or bus line 130 to Kassel city centre.
