FAQ der Fachschaft 10

What you always wanted to ask us...

What is a student council?
You¹.

[1] I.e. all students of the FB10.

What does the FSR do?

As a student council, we are your point of contact for questions about your studies,
as elected representatives of student interests, we actively represent you in committees
and make every effort to be an (informal) link to the teaching staff.

For example, we organize (not exhaustive)
- the introductory events for first-year students
- the summer party (currently only theoretical)
- the Christmas party (see above, analogous)

Do we have old exams?

No, as a student council we do not keep any old exams, our hands are legally tied in this respect. But: Higher semesters may remember ;-)
Some professors also release a mock or old exam for preparation before the exam itself. Basically, the tasks of the exams are based on the corresponding exercises.

What makes FB10 special?

- Our campus is small and the atmosphere is very informal: your lecturers always have an open ear for you and you usually have a good supervisory relationship.
- At the UniKasselVersität, practical experience is generally very important and here in particular.
- If you can hold out long enough at FB10, you will be rewarded with regular seats in the canteen and cafeteria. Insider tip: The (we can speak German too?) 'Happy Quarter'.
- There are good seats in the lecture halls, but no windows. Nothing distracts you from the beauty of the natural sciences ;-D

Is there a trick to finding your way around the AVZ?

Follow the white rabbit or try to find your way around by looking at the strangely behaving room numbers.
However, people are said to have gone missing in the process. All in all, according to Lewis Carroll: If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there.

But the Cheshire Cat has a clue for you ;-)
In certain cases, the room numbers work as follows: The first digit indicates the floor, the second the part of the building and the last two the room.
