Every year, you elect the members of the Student Council.

There are currently twelve officially elected members, but we also welcome the support of volunteers!

I am: Angelina Göbel-Knapp.

I am studying: Mathematics B.Sc.

I am active in the FSR because I really like to lend a hand and stand up for others.

I belong to these committees: Examination Board B.Sc./M.Sc. Mathematics, Institute Directorate Mathematics (representation).

My favorite fact from my studies: Not all (unit) spheres are round.

 

I am: Arne Vereijken.

I am studying: Nanostructure Sciences M.Sc.

I am active in the FSR because I want to help the students of our Faculty.

I do not currently sit on any committees.

My favorite fact from my studies: (More of a quote) "Of course you could also use diamonds. But that would be much more expensive and wouldn't work." - Professor

 

I am: Charlie Schmeling.

I study: Physics & Mathematics L3

I'm active in the FSR because it's important to me to stand up for my fellow students and I really enjoy working in the student council.

I don't currently sit on any committees.

My favorite fact from my studies: I'm still involved...

 

I am: Christine Clever (widely known as Tine).

I am studying: Mathematics B.Sc.

I'm active in the FSR because I really enjoy organizing things and working with others. Furthermore, the prospect of having a positive influence on your own study conditions is also something nice.

I sit on these committees: FSK (chair), FBR, Institute Directorate Mathematics, QSL Commission Mathematics and FB10.

My favorite fact from my studies: Banach's fixed point theorem - can be proven with elementary means and yet is extremely powerful. Also: Who wants to live without a fixed point?

 

I am: Felix Maurer and a great friend of the Mensa.

I'm active in the FSR because I've always enjoyed getting involved and am happy when I can help other students. I am on the committees because I like to look "behind the scenes" of studying and the university and think I can contribute to the sustainable improvement of study conditions.

I sit on these committees: FSK, AStA.

My favorite fact from my studies: For a countably infinite number of mathematicians who order a pint of beer, a half pint of beer, a quarter pint of beer,... in a pub one after the other, exactly two pints are enough.

 

I am: Jonas Kalveram.

I'm studying: Physics M.Sc. and Mathematics & Physics L3

I am active in the FSR to give something back to the Faculty and my fellow students.

I do not currently sit on any committees.

My favorite fact from my studies: Really everything can be assigned a wavelength.

 

I am: Julia Hädrich.

I am studying: Physics & Mathematics L3

I am active in the FSR because it is important to me to get involved in university politics and to stand up for the concerns of my fellow students. It is also an opportunity to get to know nice people.

I sit on these committees: Directorate Physics, FBR, Examination Board Mathematics Teacher Training.

My favorite fact from my studies: The Tipler is the savior in 1522 pages. Unless he falls on you, then he is salvation.

 

I am: Laura Cappello.

I am studying: Biology B.Sc.

I am active in the FSR because I like to contribute to positive changes that benefit the students.

I do not sit on any committees, but I am active as a mentor for the Biology BSc program as part of the FB10 VirtualBuddy program. Do you have any questions? - Always let me know!

My favorite fact from my studies: that I can't think of any facts when asked.

I am active in the FSR because the work in the FSR is a lot of fun and there is always something to laugh about.

My favorite fact from my studies: The Möbius strip only has one surface and is unsuitable for exams.

I am active in the FSR because I stumbled into it by chance.

My favorite fact from my studies: There are _absurdly_ many real numbers.

 

I am: Yannic Altmann.

I am studying: B.Sc. Nanostructure Sciences

I am active in the FSR because I enjoy organizing events and think that (university) political commitment is also important on a small scale.

I sit on these committees: FBR, FSK, QSL commissions of FB10, chemistry directorate.

My favorite fact from my studies: Many molecules with single electrons are blue, but electrons don't actually have a color!
