What are diet, nutritional health & food security outcomes of organic food systems
and how can they be part of a transformation to sustainability? We contextualize the farmto-
fork concept and implementation through case studies and research data, and provide
a framework for study and measurement of the benefits, challenges, and the dynamics
involved with the birth and growth of such systems.

Organic food and human health: FQH Session

The public will hear about recent research findings on the impact of organic food on
consumer health. We will talk about the new concept of health, the impact of regular
consumption of organic food on the health of consumers, the health indicators in children
receiving organic school meals, and in vitro studies showing the effect of organic fruit on
cancer cell lines.
