Botanist PD Dr. Stefan Schneckenburger has worked in botanical gardens for over 35 years and served as president of the Verband Botanischer Gärten e.V.. His experience ranges from international species conservation to questions of the history of science. He will talk about the role of botanic gardens once and now, about empires and colonial botany.
