Workshop: Allyship in the context of racism

Racism is not an isolated incident, but is firmly anchored in our society. Nevertheless, we often react with overwhelm or defense. In the seminar "Colonialism in Witzenhausen" we want to create a space to talk about the topic of racism and discrimination. For this we have to deal with our own privileges and want to ask ourselves how we can take a position. Afterwards we can work out concrete possibilities for action in the context of racism. 

The workshop will take place with the speaker Michelle Bray. The working method is deliberately slow and interactive. In order to enable working together, a Brave Space - an open conversation space critical of discrimination - will be created in which uncertainties can be reflected upon. The workshop language is German.
