The Department of Construction Materials and Construction Chemistry was delighted to welcome the renowned construction chemist Prof. Dr. Junfeng Wang from Shenzhen University in China as a guest at the University of Kassel on 11.01.2024. Prof. Wang gave a guest lecture on "Practical construction chemical applications in concrete construction - hydropower plants and tunnels". In the lecture, he discussed aspects of construction chemistry in the context of current Chinese mega construction projects and the improvement of the carbon footprint of the construction materials used. We would like to thank Prof. Wang for the professional exchange and wish him continued success!
