On November 15, Mr. Matthias Gehrke celebrated his 25th anniversary. He works as a chemical-technical assistant at the Department of Construction Materials and Construction Chemistry and is responsible for the facilities of the chemical-mineralogical laboratories. In addition to his predominant laboratory activities, Mr. Gehrke has also provided numerous impulses for research topics. Particularly noteworthy is the pioneering work on the use of sugar cane ash as a cement substitute, which, in addition to scientific publications, has also resulted in many years of scientific cooperation with the Cuban University in Santa Clara. Mr. Matthias Gehrke is also the radiation protection officer for the department at the Holländischer Platz site.

The team of the department and AMPA congratulates Mr. Gehrke warmly and is looking forward to continuing the joint successful cooperation in the coming years.
